coffee break

My grandma was Danish.  It’s a rule for everyone Danish to love sweets and to love guests.  I was fortunate enough to grow up a few blocks from my grandparents.  Each day we’d have coffee break, like a not so fancy high tea, at my grandma and grandpa’s house.  My grandma would make bread, pies, cakes, and many other sweet treats for anyone who was able to stop by and enjoy.  We’ve tried to keep the tradition alive, even here with the new family members.  Today we walked to the local grocery and picked up some biscuits (wafer cookies) and some bread, and enjoyed a coffee break together.  Grandma would be so proud!

Amazing!! I am so impressed with all you are doing there with your new babies! They are SO ADORABLE!! I was almost moved to tears looking at these pictures and reading your stories! It seems you’re venturing out quite a bit so i take that as a sign that things have gotten easier day by day. PS Francine’s hair looks so cute! Very impressive also! 🙂
