there she is

Still no visas.  Maybe tomorrow.  After that, just one more hoop, just one more bit of red tape before I finally get to take these girls home.  They’ve waited a long time, and I don’t just mean eight weeks.  Sadly, the one remaining step takes six business days and if my luck holds there will be a holiday or two in there and my paperwork will get lost at least once along the way.  🙂

Everything, when spotted, gets a, “There she is!” out of the girls.  We  (some of us anyway) use it a lot when someone hides their eyes, “Where’s Keta?” or when someone comes around the corner or turns over in bed or turns to face someone.  Where is my photo book, there she is.  Where is the motocar taking us to get egg-ees and bread, there she is.

We had a successful grocery run.  You’d think Santa Claus had been around as excited as Keta and Francine were to help unpack the bags and see all the treasures.  How is it possible to be that excited about eggs, bread, apples and a roasted chicken?  They were thrilled.  Easy to please, those two.  Bibi and I invited our good friend Ms. Stella Artois for dinner, so we’re excited too.

I don’t know what this was about.

Happy girls!

You had better hope these two never go to the grocery store with dad. Can you imagine? They’ll ask him for one little thing of yogurt and he’ll buy 20 just in case. Or they won’t ask and he’ll just buy, buy, buy just to be safe. I can see him with 2 carts or Lisa with one cart and one girl and dad with the other, both baskets toppling over with groceries. I cannot wait to hear their experience once they are home through your eyes. I cannot wait to see it myself. I want you to come out here, for many reasons, but largely so I can take Keta to Talarico’s for pizza. I wonder if she could eat 2 🙂 And I’ll take them both out for wings at wingdome – both of which are in walking distance. I wonder how much their food likes will change when they realize they have other options? Can you imagine breakfast? Pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc? I’m rambling but I’m so incredibly excited at the prospect of you guys being here soon-ish I just can’t stand it!!! I hope and pray you are home within 2 weeks or less! I love you lots and miss you guys like crazy. It’s a toss up for what I’m excited for more – 1) get this baby out or 2) you guys to get home 🙂 We love you lots!!!

Those are pretty impressive bellies! They rival Aunt Lindsay’s baby belly posted on Facebook! I’m glad they enjoyed their meal out and hope that you and your mom got a little to eat too. Can’t wait for you to be home! I’ll make you a marshmallow pie and put food coloring in it so it won’t be white. 😉

I can’t wait to hear what they think of our grocery stores. Heck, can’t wait to hear what they think of all our bounties. I know you are not a fan of McDonalds but at some time they will end up there. Will they like the hamburger or the toy in the happy meal more. Have a safe journey home with your beauties.

We bought some cereal here. It was pretty exciting for the girls. There was a ball in the box. It definitely doubled the excitement! Happy meal, toy inside….they’ll think they hit the jackpot. 🙂
